Oops! Long time no blog
Oh my, I just realized it's been a long, long time since my last blog text. Shame on me!
So, I guess I just try to wrap up everything and sum up my incredible year. The year that included a lot of five's, 50 years of a rollercoaster ride called life, five years as a burlesque artist and 15 years of unconditional love from best doggo ever.
I started my year by creating new act. It was ready by time and had its premiere at Tampere Burlesque Extravaganza on March. I named this act 'Drained' and I'm so very pleased how it turned out. Audience's reactions has been as I thought they would be, strong silence at the end. There, I gave you something to think didn't I?
'Drained' had four appearances during a year, but I don't think it has reached it's full potential yet. I'm still working with expressions and tease. Second most stage time had 'Swansong' and 'Bean Sídhe'. This year Swansong travelled to Warsaw Slavic Burlesque Festival and Bean Sídhe got a big stage and big audience at the Horror and Tease Show. Many of my dreams came true this year and I got to perform in so many beautiful and unique places. I'm forever grateful to all producers who have believed in me.

On May I celebrated my birthday and had a fantastic birthday bash! Life hasn't always been easy or fair but there are few things that has kept me going. Laughter is one of them, and as theme of my bash was 'children's party', I think I'm safe to say that laughter there was!
My official birthday portrait was taken in my birthsuite by Katri Kallio Photography

The year hasn't been just all that jazz and celebrations. It never does, does it?
Mine included some health issues, moments of frustrations and low self-esteem caused by enormous amount of rejection letters. As we all know it's part of the game, you lose some and you might win some. More applications sent out equals more possible rejections. But trying is a key and I'd like to consider myself as a winner with all those yeses I got. I'm also a bit wiser now with future applications. Let's see what next year brings!
And as always, I'm ending old year and starting new by creating a new act. I start creating things during summer but lack of time and energy slows me down. Around new year I have less work and more time, so things start to develop. 'Oldie but Goldie' has its premiere on February as a wedding present to my burly sis, but after that it's all yours to book!
On year 2024 I was able to tick many things off from my dream board. I travelled near and far, spent time with my love ones, my dog turned 15 and is still with us, going slower in every possible way, but doing well all together. I have developed as a performer and learned a lot about myself as an artist. I'm eagerly waiting for 2025, let's continue ticking those dreams!
